Its their first one and as lover of promarkers I was really pleased to find it - thanks to <a href="http://www.lil-paper-pixie.blogspot.com/">Sarah</a> who I met of ILWS and she is one of their design team - don't think I have ever spoken to a designer before so lucky me!!. Check out her blog as I love the way she always includes the colours...</div></div><br /><div> </div><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342058388482896770" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 270px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtWMjauD2_w6X3YEsiZLJUWImHWMsbl63lNOkf5RWwoXAZ9lv-1Oee4LGtOrnrPbe-bKHmDRmOi3ZW9m914SSyjq3W2FL1VL7_hKfRr_5h4SboM_c1wk8dZtwFn9ZeBVtSHEeE-vAgPb4/s320/2.jpg" border="0" />The challenge was a free for all with colours and sketch so plenty of variety to work with!. I used an Anya image kindly sent to me by <a href="http://www.victoriamaycottage.blogspot.com/">Tricia</a> with papers by the Craftwork at a bargain price form the Art shop in Stroud at 25p - and that was the actual price and not the usually halved price reported back to any non crafter who asks!! <div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342060734817841874" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0pHGvkAQD2YgunKfdIt5k9boCNzsO9maBRyFlGKKN_TgyvdLi6MuKYlkSD39ecte6WQ00IAuy83I8Ow-D9zmOWy5JkidUvIsDrDC5nMUzlIYi2uWB170krVK_NIdqwTy6YWkMmAabB1E/s320/IMG_1244.JPG" border="0" /><br /></div>I coloured both flower, rectangle nestie scallop & ribbon with the Maroon marker to try to match (the ribbon was a fluorescent pink!). Buckle is SU hodgepodge and brad is I think doodlebug. The larger flower is one I cut out from the papers and simply bent around my fingers.</div><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342061825681136114" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 266px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8ZGuGYpJUrexszBdGtDXoz-WkTXpR7jBZUXRjeEjRzOCVYBTzUAxcRDXBnH9jqLcECjrCJ_BoUgQxpAk2UlMeXenGjkk9IDLna6gcYDepB0nn4PpOmrxtyTIY01RTX8X0caIdy9ZJBdw/s320/3.jpg" border="0" />Lots of pricking and faux stitching - I love doing this and think it works especially with the stitching on the papers . I mentioned before I like to decorate the inside of cards so repeated the image on the inside.<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342062349566862530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 302px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhv-WTbSA5PCzOAQWXJ1dCH6gS5v1ApveONub589cqMESjIHlyW2ZcmKnwneHAi5cWUSuFi0jOjgF6f7_l-9nbCko3ZN2Y64leYt9JBNeKqGl9GT4lvaLcIE8UBHlngatjPgRouXr8E3Q/s320/4.jpg" border="0" />and created a simple frame with charm from my stash for any type of sentiment. They were hosting an event "Dog Days" and held a regional heat for Scruffs - the crufts equivalent for non pedigree dogs. Its not been a great time at work at the mo and have felt a bit drained by it all - Guess this might sound a bit pathetic but have been so let down by someone I thought was a friend that all I have wanted to do is come home and go to bed and my craft stuff has stayed in its cupboard. However, thanks to my crafting buddy Irene I went to a "crop" last night hours (4.30pm - 11pm) of sheer loveliness and crafting to hearts content (and fish & chips thrown in as well - yummy). Then today, we went to a months ago pre booked workshop using alcohol inks and got inky!. We made a tag book which I need to finish but has all the basis of the pages and I intend adding some photos and some writing for my friend across the road who is moving shortly :( The colours haven't some out like they should but thats lighting in my house for you !<br /><br />Feel better now with combination of Irene and internet shopping (Martha Stewart & Leone Em punch. So thank you Irene & Bank Manager<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54486/368/9ED9D74C0FD079B4B3BBF2AF81CE26A0.png" style="border: 0 !important; background: transparent;"/></a>DillyDillyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11246566817841946668noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3912926515642771392.post-59397763890335387082009-02-06T21:17:00.002+00:002009-02-06T21:38:54.915+00:00A Stamp Challenge<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRTLFr8VeeIPCkpD21SYyV-LvuQqdcE_Mg-nSQ1xWulCcobfp0Vq1KVT_s49Gxn6O6we9SqlGKehlDZIDm_2_A2n2bL5omy-egheckMSSVINwinz7e8NKegb6jfUkVySDcIUQbNgTEFXY/s1600-h/valentines.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299797307682302434" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 317px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRTLFr8VeeIPCkpD21SYyV-LvuQqdcE_Mg-nSQ1xWulCcobfp0Vq1KVT_s49Gxn6O6we9SqlGKehlDZIDm_2_A2n2bL5omy-egheckMSSVINwinz7e8NKegb6jfUkVySDcIUQbNgTEFXY/s400/valentines.jpg" border="0" /></a> Well I'm glad this working week is over . I can't <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">believe</span> how long 5 days has been. I'm so looking <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">forward</span> to the weekend. So much so that I have ignored food and a number of "Mum what's for supper?" and have been so successful that oldest son (by 4 <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">mins</span> - twins) had now cooked a very nice curry. Not really that much of a neglectful mother as they are 19 and have only been sledging all day!!! So due to my deafness I have have a little play and had a go at the challenge over at http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/ which is is Something for your Valentine. It can be a card, a gift, or some candy, whatever it is you are giving to your Valentine.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3EEht4Oln3Gxx5Q5r17nW4O935qlvhm4jaX8P9OiOp34JlhLarKTj9PVlE3uff3mFamTkBvKqRodEsTJpcX-1q_zq0XC1Q6oM5Kn70M_E0bsV_OLJ4C3C0EU2J2zrHOwoEOtkAjmVWsE/s1600-h/bag2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299797300663204626" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3EEht4Oln3Gxx5Q5r17nW4O935qlvhm4jaX8P9OiOp34JlhLarKTj9PVlE3uff3mFamTkBvKqRodEsTJpcX-1q_zq0XC1Q6oM5Kn70M_E0bsV_OLJ4C3C0EU2J2zrHOwoEOtkAjmVWsE/s400/bag2.jpg" border="0" /></a> I decided to make something that either my sons (ha who am i kidding???) or daughter could give. I followed a template for the bag and used I think <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Imaginese</span> card and lined with <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">papermania</span> heart paper. The handle I made using some left over jewelery wire and beads. I attached using a jump ring poked through the card but am <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">conscious</span> that this isn't too robust - if anyone can <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">suggest</span> something please let me know.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqxCRtXqtbjxlDcT8IlqivLxJIeCmsuFbfmS0ET99UlN_ONAMLprgwxjwisNMP6whV3C89hSMivTa5Ntufkof-OG8E4FnLh4TXLfGqN4b-59iQLb1mwZP4Cv3azoVoeUJxNMYByJ1pOLs/s1600-h/bag1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299797299306677394" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqxCRtXqtbjxlDcT8IlqivLxJIeCmsuFbfmS0ET99UlN_ONAMLprgwxjwisNMP6whV3C89hSMivTa5Ntufkof-OG8E4FnLh4TXLfGqN4b-59iQLb1mwZP4Cv3azoVoeUJxNMYByJ1pOLs/s400/bag1.jpg" border="0" /></a> The triangle <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">sweetie</span> holder was made following a video posted on you tube and crimped at the top & bottom. I used for the first time my smallest <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">nestability</span> circle and the "sweet" is a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">SU</span> stamp I bought off <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11">Ebay</span>. I can remember being very surprised when it arrived as I didn't realise how small the stamp was & didn't think at the time I would ever use it. So how wrong was I? The bow is one I have <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_12">made</span> before by simply tacking through my large roll of <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_13">bargain</span> ribbon(jumble sale) and then gathering<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh6YyOoUK7KaB2OqTU67uhk56xZaxCfW6Qxy_241HAje8dPUvnZ6B8UOac9LB8b9jHtZ3ng8USVl8TxYp3nCJ_s6d3_m5ahHpG915-Cj5wtTqYqU7XDDVBdXgYaBB_jCbg1dLGyiUpDeg/s1600-h/valentine+2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299797293245768338" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh6YyOoUK7KaB2OqTU67uhk56xZaxCfW6Qxy_241HAje8dPUvnZ6B8UOac9LB8b9jHtZ3ng8USVl8TxYp3nCJ_s6d3_m5ahHpG915-Cj5wtTqYqU7XDDVBdXgYaBB_jCbg1dLGyiUpDeg/s400/valentine+2.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />Had fun doing this and am off to have a bath and enjoy the feeling of being"arty!"<br /><div></div><div></div><br /><div></div>Hugs,<br /><div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img style="BORDER-RIGHT: 0px; BORDER-TOP: 0px; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54486/368/9ED9D74C0FD079B4B3BBF2AF81CE26A0.png" /></a></div></div></div></div>DillyDillyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11246566817841946668noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3912926515642771392.post-38404571273336724282009-02-06T08:30:00.000+00:002009-02-06T08:30:00.649+00:00Whiff Of Joy 17<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpAU7NnPYcu7gMWppGtbsOdOrdhsTs9DUWAPFwHKsDJIA-YputkPt1AdX4eTrZFc_Wq6IwBYP2DswFEy1epaXJAAovbfEuRpRnRAzXcEHADJyiNRWqqzj5B9m0lCJPBfjNjBgvUu9qdgo/s1600-h/woj2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299458453259281906" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 392px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpAU7NnPYcu7gMWppGtbsOdOrdhsTs9DUWAPFwHKsDJIA-YputkPt1AdX4eTrZFc_Wq6IwBYP2DswFEy1epaXJAAovbfEuRpRnRAzXcEHADJyiNRWqqzj5B9m0lCJPBfjNjBgvUu9qdgo/s400/woj2.jpg" border="0" /></a> How happy am I? - The answer is very :))) and its not because of the snow (love it) nor the fact I can work from home tomorrow. Its simply because I have made a card I am happy with. I don't think its perfect or anything like that its just I'm happy with it!!!!. I treated myself to some <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">BG</span> Bittersweet card and what a difference I love the fact the papers tone so well - <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">I'm</span> not great with colour so am really pleased!. <div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMWfo9x5vLJoM1LF50lHqa9Hnw7t0jUFT_XMbgMCWSyRpkAXaGrQIbRoxiQbm-ApjUXQxN4z3ea29v-_pvpRfzq71qwfEPlcakJapx8S5khjjk967fp8TPxCfIy5QP9oqwaRZSbgG4iIM/s1600-h/woj1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299458446801101282" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 346px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMWfo9x5vLJoM1LF50lHqa9Hnw7t0jUFT_XMbgMCWSyRpkAXaGrQIbRoxiQbm-ApjUXQxN4z3ea29v-_pvpRfzq71qwfEPlcakJapx8S5khjjk967fp8TPxCfIy5QP9oqwaRZSbgG4iIM/s400/woj1.jpg" border="0" /></a> The Challenge over at <a href="http://wojmondaychallenge.blogspot.com/">http://wojmondaychallenge.blogspot.com/</a> is a sketch one ( I have tried to copy and paste the sketch in but can't get it to work- all help gratefully received if someone would let me know) and I have been able to use my recently purchased "Henry". I am really impressed by the quality of the Whiff of Joy stamps and they do stamp a lovely clear image and the service has been great too. I coloured using pro markers and cake case, dusky pink, ivory, blush& blossom, Candle ruby & ivory, Henry, Satin, dusky pink, blush and highlighted with ranger <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">inkessential</span> pen. After feeling a bit down last night I had a look over at <a href="http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/">http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/</a> and was inspired to have a go at their circle card challenge. It was a challenge for me as I only have <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">the</span> small set of <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">circle</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">nestabilities</span> so I had to improvise. This involved drawing around my <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">cereal</span> bowl on the green <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">papermania</span> paper and on white card stock I used the top of my biscuit tin. Then had to cut out freehand (since when did I start to shake????). The hedgehog was an image I had been sent and I coloured in using <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">promarkers</span> Ruby & Meadow Green flowers, Satin, Pastel Pink & Blush on the body.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXVritsUVFQ7whyphenhyphenKyJx4CkvFhiqNJp00uiEX5CUNeAFPdnuUYuxL04aOYjwjPTkaXSt1FEPkmLwscG9lG2EJTqWScPzXgcFdCw8dvlyBvoG660DRPXeOm5erKyl4euWl-kVv38oo_Z2nM/s1600-h/pb3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297982140405658754" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 302px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXVritsUVFQ7whyphenhyphenKyJx4CkvFhiqNJp00uiEX5CUNeAFPdnuUYuxL04aOYjwjPTkaXSt1FEPkmLwscG9lG2EJTqWScPzXgcFdCw8dvlyBvoG660DRPXeOm5erKyl4euWl-kVv38oo_Z2nM/s400/pb3.jpg" border="0" /></a> I coloured in my white raffia with black <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">promarker</span> (yes the fingers do still look a little grey!) and die cut the hearts from a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">sizzx</span> die. Can't <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">believe</span> how time flew and in 3 hours I had only made 2 cards! Well that's nattering for you. There where a lot of talented ladies at the workshop who had lots of ideas and produced some lovely cards. Decided to have a go at the challenge over at <a href="http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/">http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/</a> . But having completed a card am feeling a bit down as not really happy with it at all and don't feel I'm getting any better:( (will get over feeling poor poor me in a bit!!). I have spent so long blog hopping seeing some wonderful work I do get frustrated that I can;t seem to produce any thing like what I see. Oh well more practise needed....<br /><br />Did buy 5 more <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">promarkers</span> yesterday and have had a colour today so that has been good - really wish I could find a pink that I liked - If anyone can recommend one please let me know!<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhggJNFFh-fPcEzIYD-FMVdX98KmbcEvSW4llkC4CWaSAELhMHhu3lKuBX2dkBoOcuOVq9NTJAjnmpQLsqjcmzkuUqFrzD7v1o0wl-nlJLcU9cKpXjt8aqAOJeIW_1TdJAVJvB4C1QSGYA/s1600-h/sat+sketch+2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297922942848925346" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhggJNFFh-fPcEzIYD-FMVdX98KmbcEvSW4llkC4CWaSAELhMHhu3lKuBX2dkBoOcuOVq9NTJAjnmpQLsqjcmzkuUqFrzD7v1o0wl-nlJLcU9cKpXjt8aqAOJeIW_1TdJAVJvB4C1QSGYA/s400/sat+sketch+2.jpg" border="0" /></a> Used pastel blue for jeans, soft lime & lemon for top, amethyst & carmine on the flowers, hair lemon, yellow & satin. I ended up with very limey fingers as I coloured the ribbon and the raffia to try to match. But still not happy. Going to cook a late supper and have a hop later to try to learn a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">bit</span> more.<br /><br /><br /><p>Hope everyone has a good week ahead .... I managed a quick card last night in between sorting pants and socks - my bed did have a strange mix of items on it ! It is for the Sugar Bowl Challenge 3 - the theme being Love & Romance I used Leanne Ellis stamp from Sugar Nellie coloured with pro markers, heart - rose pink and ivory, dress & flower lime, ivory & rose, stockings & boots ivory & cornflower, hair cinnamon. Card stock is <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Papermania</span> and papers <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Imaginese</span>. Sentiment is from a P<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">apermania</span> set which I double stamped and cut out - but cut a bit too much and had to colour the bottom pink card as well. The sentiment is I think a Scrappy Cat one.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPbJbETMwkDcqnnHaBQvri89WoE9Ay2hGI9lcn2J1U_Q9VqYecs8voqHB_n3sG0JlNZHdPJeBJYpCRu3eW5s1ZLFCKAa1TcvPdp2J7ELYqjMDPI4tNFRozUx_ibEbIKnczX6xZ0ts7Wxw/s1600-h/IMG_0339.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295287485753753074" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPbJbETMwkDcqnnHaBQvri89WoE9Ay2hGI9lcn2J1U_Q9VqYecs8voqHB_n3sG0JlNZHdPJeBJYpCRu3eW5s1ZLFCKAa1TcvPdp2J7ELYqjMDPI4tNFRozUx_ibEbIKnczX6xZ0ts7Wxw/s400/IMG_0339.JPG" border="0" /></a> I coloured in with pro markers Lilac & Lavender Blossom & Satin on the trousers, Satin & Lime Green on her shoes, Blossom & lime green top, Hair is mustard & vanilla. Daughter away in Wales again so I have taken over her bedroom - and my goodness I can see where the children get their untidiness from!!. Her room really does look like a paper bomb has gone off! But how nice just to <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">shut</span> the door and know I can start again tomorrow... I decided to make a valentine card and wanted to use red & white as they are my favourite colour combination - but no red card:(. So picked a pack of papers (K&Co) shut my eyes and fanned through and stopped at this pretty blue and cream. I also used paper mania brown as the base ( not too happy with this card as when I score the card tends to tear - must be more gentle!). I used for the first time a Simon & Lola stamp from Sugar <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Nellies</span> </div><br /><div>coloured in with <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">promarkers</span>, pastel blue, vanilla, cinnamon, henna & ivory.
